Posted by: | Comments (0)

Mungkin dari jutaan orang di dunia ini belum tau fakta unik mengenai pohon bambu… ya termasuk saya..he..he.. langsung aja ya dibaca ulasan dibawah ini mengenai manfaat bambu serta fakta unik pohon bambu.

Read More→

Overview of HP And Palm Webos Pre 2

Posted by: | Comments (0)
os x lion
by Lee Gillen

Palm is a paradox: despite a strong user community and a great mobile OS, the company was mired in a failed advertising campaign that earned him nothing other than being bought by HP.

The world’s No. 1 personal computer has made a deal: Palm, its catalog of 850 patents, including some very important, and web OS, an OS very promising, does it have cost 815 million euros.A few months after a severe reorganization of teams from Palm, become a business unit within HP’s fate webOS 2.0, HP officially renamed webOS.Is it at level 4 or iOS Android 2.2?

Cards on the Table
The strength of webOS is that it was designed around the multitasking: each task is a map, and you can scroll through the various maps of the fingertip. The system is not particularly far from that of Mac OS or Windows, where windows float above a desk. This implementation has many advantages: it takes a look inside the application, switching from one application to another in a gesture (and not with a double pressure and selection of an application ), and quit an application by ejecting the card from the game webOS 2.0 adds a new feature in its system: batteries, one would have thought.

f we perform an Internet search and you open two or three cards to do this, you end up with three cards for the same task. The cell system offers them together because they belong to the same context.

webOS trying to do it automatically, if you open a link from an email, the map “Navigator” will be stacked with the map “Email.”We can also do it manually: just take a card and slip it into another to create a stack, like the new fashion statement from Mission Control in the future Mac OS X Lion.We can unfold a stack to get a card that would be the background, rearrange the order, or simply close an application by ejecting the card from the pile.

In practice, the cell system interferes a bit with the handling of cards, like the file system interferes with the movement of applications in iOS simple: a deadline a little longer for its activation would have been more convenient.Automatic creation of batteries is a well thought opening a link in an email client in Twitter or Facebook, and we are left with a pile representing a session of “work”.

It can therefore be created small clusters of cards by mixing automatic and manual placement of cards in a pile here a surf session (cards browsers and social networks), is planning a visit (a map calendar, a map SMS, a map Maps), yet also the grouping of email, calendar and contacts from the Exchange box.It says only that the system could be a little further, a little smarter, a little more automated.

Just type
webOS has always had a system of universal search, improved in this new version. It is now called “Just Type” translates into “Now type ‘: it suffices to type to start a search. It allows you to quickly search Google, even offering to Google Suggest (or Wikipedia, IMDb, YouTube, Amazon, Google Maps, Twitter and App Catalog), and obviously local search in contacts, calendars, emails , bookmarks, and applications.

Louder when you visit sites with a search box, Just Type tries to recognize the method and adds it as a search engine. We had no problem adding the search engine MacGeneration, but of iGeneration has never been detected. We can happily sort and delete search engines on the fly.

J

ust type but does not stop there: it also contains a section called “Quick Actions”, which creates a task, an email or SMS from the text that was typed.

Palm has made alternative fast action, and developers can plug their applications themselves on the system from an API.After several hours of use, this system becomes central: it allows you to create content without having to open an application (and therefore sometimes navigate to find it), and is particularly convenient.

Apple had no shame in response to integrating Palm Spotlight, we come to expect IOS includes one day such a system, which would be a new gateway for multitasking.

Go to shorter
The textual functions of webOS in general have also been included in order to increase productivity and ease of use: it is not always pleasant to type a long text on a smartphone.Palm has built a system that reminds TextExpander or system shortcuts for the BlackBerry OS.

It allows you to program text snippets that once typed, will convene a longer text: simply said, typing “zzz” will put his signature with the usual politeness, type “mg” to insert ” MacGeneration “, etc..This system is certainly not new is associated with a spell check well ahead of the IOS, which also allows users to manage the words learned word by word in order to correct bad behavior.Again, this is a feature that may seem minor, but which is very pleasant in everyday life.

Wynn Macau looks like its slightly-older sibling, Wynn Las Vegas, a gleaming wave-topped structure, dark chocolate-colored glass with horizontal stripes of milk-chocolate, and Wynn’s distinctive signature across the top.

There are 600 rooms, and I was staying in the 140-unit Club (Towers) area. Inside the bijou Club lobby, women were elegantly clad in pale salmon two-piece tea frocks, as in Las Vegas. Elevators have framed wall panels – no glass – of Fortuny-style horizontally-pleated dark chocolate fabric, bordered in woven ribbon. Upper corridors, as in Vegas, are milk-chocolate walls with black & white photos, white woodwork, carpet dark chocolate with milk-chocolate squiggles.

I was quickly escorted to room 1608, which oozed space (partly enhanced by the mirrored ceiling panels in the parlor). There was a foyer, with half-bathroom. The big parlor had a black marble floor flecked with white, and a central cream carpet decorated with blood-red, milk- and dark-chocolate squiggles. Walls of both parlor and adjacent bedrooms were milk-chocolate fabric-look paper, and all woodwork was white, as was the fine beaded cornice and ceilings, and frames for reproduction art (mostly Matisse). Decorative end drapes on the whole-wall windows were dark chocolate with soft blood-red squiggles (as on the bed skirt). The parlor had a diagonal-corner bar, with a Wynn-label Nespresso machine. I liked having simple telephones, easy to see and understand. The desk had US and UK electric sockets, and there was a Wynn-labelled retractable cord for broadband, charged at HK0 per 24 hours. The desk had an ergonomic chair, upholstered in various chocolates and pale persimmon. Two three-person sofas were bright scarlet velvet and there was a corner table with L-shaped bankette. Two ceiling-high green plants were real.

Both parlor and adjacent bedroom have wall-set Hitachi plasma televisions and, what a delight, the remote-control zappers were simple, as are the onscreen instructions. I settled for the Mood sector – my favorite here was great cities of the world, either silent or classical music. There was another television, merely marked Wynn, in the bathroom. There were short and medium Wynn-designed robes (soft towel inside, fabric out), wrapped slippers, and a wall safe. The glass-sided shower, big enough for four, had overhead, wall-set and hand-held outlets. Wynn’s signature lemon Bambü toiletries were in the shower, and in a basket on the double-sink counter: there was a Trumper’s razor and Colgate toothpaste. I liked having a brand-new Body Image Relaxation spa bath pillow, a loofah and a back scrubber and massager, and a purple orchid.

Dining choices are Chinese, Italian, Japanese and modified Portuguese. I joined the boss of the complex, Grant Bowie, dined in multi-level Il Teatro, lots of fun as you can see into the kitchen. You also have an excellent view of the full-wall display of the outside water feature which, as the evening progresses, goes even more ballistic in its ballet. Every 15 minutes it bursts in a program, which might be water jets going through blue light as they dance one way or another, or perhaps real fire balls bursting up through the water, and the music gets increasingly dramatic, opera style, with each performance. (Steve Wynn, by the way, chooses all the music.) The restaurants, which seat 164, was really packed that night – as always, I was told. The president of Las Vegas Sands for Asia-Pacific, Mark Brown, was with a group, as was Stanley Ho’s daughter Patsy, at an all-girls’ table. I had a caprese salad, a pair of tomato mounds topped by mozzarella and surrounded by brown squiggles, and then lamb shank on saffron risotto. Walking home, to suite 1608, was quite difficult because of the crowds, 99 per cent Chinese, cramming past – and into – the Armani, Louis Vuitton and other stores in the corridor between gaming areas and hotel.

In the morning I just managed to run before the annual Macau Marathon started, had a shower and headed down to the Esplanade for breakfast. Everywhere was now marvellously quiet, gone were the hordes (I had thought the whole of southern China was here) and the shops were closed. The breakfast buffet was in the 24-hour modified Portuguese, at a buffet that included really fresh juice and outstanding breads. Later, I swam in one of the three pools. I settled the bill with Anne Chiu, from Toronto via Vegas (though somehow she lives in Boston) and a butler took my bag, I was ushered out into a black, cream-lined Bentley, and escorted to the ferry terminal, another zoo of screaming people both coming and going.

Wynn CEO Goes On Epic Anti-Obama Rant On Company Conference Call I knew I loved staying at Wynn and Encore when me and my lady do Vegas…. Who doesn’t love a good rant? We certainly do, and as usual, Steve Wynn, the CEO of casino company Wynn Resorts, delivered on his company’s quarterly conference call today. Via Seeking Alpha, here’s the crux of it: I believe in Las Vegas. I think its best days are ahead of it. But I’m afraid to do anything in the current political environment in the United States. You watch television and see what’s going on on this debt ceiling issue. And what I consider to be a total lack of leadership from the President and nothing’s going to get fixed until the President himself steps up and wrangles both parties in Congress. But everybody is so political, so focused on holding their job for the next year that the discussion in Washington is nauseating. And I’m saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, and progress and job creation in my lifetime. And I can prove it and I could spend the next 3 hours giving you examples of all of us in this market place that are frightened to death about all the new regulations, our healthcare costs escalate, regulations coming from left and right. A President that seems, that keeps using that word redistribution. Well, my customers and the companies that provide the vitality for the hospitality and restaurant industry, in the United States of America, they are frightened

What You Need To Know About Adult Acne

Posted by: | Comments (0)

When I was around 14 years old, I struggled with horrifying cystic acne. At the time it seemed like the end of the world, as if I didn’t feel awkward enough with a unibrow and braces. I went to dermatologists, bought countless acne product and spent hours in front of the mirror trying to figure out a way to hide it. Back then, I knew nothing about skin care-so of course everything I did made it way worse. Luckily, some time passed and I grew out of it… but not for long. Almost immediately when I turned 21 the acne came back, this time I was educated in skin care and knew how to control it. To this day I haven’t had a problem with acne, but my skin is still acne prone and pimples still show up occasionally. I know there are many women and men just like me who suffer with adult acne. In fact, as a skin professional who councils acne sufferers everyday, about 80% of the calls I get are from adult women in their 40′s suffering with cystic acne. This isn’t surprising…studies have shown that cases of adult acne are more prominent today than they were 10 years ago. About 30% of women and 20% of men (ages 20-60) are now dealing with consistent breakouts. Experts say it’s likely that more are experiencing this skin issue later in life due to increased stress, less exercise, poor diet and lifestyle factors.

Adult acne is much like teenage acne, there are many contributing factors but there is no cure. The main difference with adult acne is that our skin changes as we age. It is less resilient, our cells regenerate at a slower pace and we produce less collagen. This makes treating adult acne a bit tricky. Most over the counter acne treatments are geared towards younger skin and are too harsh for most skin types. Also, if you want to really be acne free for life, you have to do a bit more than put a pimple cream on everyday.

CAUSES

In order to treat adult acne effectively, we have to examine the causes. Usually it is a combination of internal and external factors that happen all at once and cause acne breakouts.

Internal

  • Decreased Cell Turnover. This happens as we age, at around the age of 22 our cells regenerate at a slower pace and it gets slower and slower as we get older. This increases the chance of dead cell buildup in the hair follicle because your skin isn’t shedding the dead cells as quickly.
  • Hormones. Certain hormonal changes that happen when we get older can cause a surge of androgens that attack hair follicles, causing them to become inflamed – which increases the chance of a follicle getting clogged, resulting infection and so on.
  • Poor Diet. Malnutrition and eating too much processed food can cause a build up of toxins in the body and effect the way your body functions. The skin is the largest and outermost organ we have, so naturally, acne is a way your body can communicate to you that you aren’t healthy, and things aren’t running smoothly on the inside.
  • Stress. We all have it… we all hate it… but we all have to deal with it one way or another. If you don’t find a healthy way to relieve stress in your daily life, it will build up and effect your health… and skin. Increased stress causes a surge in hormones which, as I mentioned before… causes acne.

External

  • Friction. Any kind of friction to the skin can irritate it and spread bacteria. If you rest your head on your palm, wear tight fitting clothes or hats, hold the phone up to your cheek…etc. These common gestures can contribute to trapping dirt, dead cells and debris in the follicle and transfer bacteria onto the skin – causing pimples.
  • Bad Cosmetics. Whether it’s pore clogging make up, an irritating face wash or cheap shampoo… any cosmetic product with comedogenic, harsh or toxic ingredients can cause an acne flare up.
  • Environmental/Lifestyle Factors. Too much time in the sun, excessive alcohol consumption or smoking and lack of sleep are all bad habits that will damage your skin cells and cause all sorts of problems, acne being one of them.

TREAT AND PREVENT

Now that you know what could be causing your break outs… it’s time to make the appropriate changes to your lifestyle and choose a results oriented skin care regimen with products that will balance and heal your skin. I have compiled a list of tips that I have learned will help achieve and maintain healthy, blemish free skin as an adult.

  • Be healthy on the inside. A healthy diet will do wonders for your skin, but certain foods effect the skin more than others. Example; Soy helps with wrinkles, dark chocolate boosts circulation. For healing acne, you want vitamins and minerals that balance (salmon, almonds), heal(Apples, leafy greens, carrots) and protect (strawberries, tomatoes, oranges) Also, you will want to take a multi vitamin with Zinc and b5 to heal your acne and reduce sebum production from the inside.
  • Exercise. It relieves stress and boosts circulation- exercise is vital to the overall health of your body and skin.
  • No Chemicals. Choose skin care products that will treat your acne, not just your acne symptoms. Chemical based acne treatments just get rid of the pimple and they are so harsh they damage the rest of your skin. Long term use of these chemical based products can have terrible side effects – one of them being ACNE. To control your breakouts, all you need is a simple morning and evening regimen and daily face mask to keep pores clear. You will want to choose products that are concentrated with natural ingredients and gentle exfoliates (glycolic acid is a great choice)… don’t over use the products but stay consistent with how you use them.
  • Be Gentle With Your Skin. Use your hands to cleanse your skin instead of scrubbing with a a harsh cloth. Older skin is more likely to be sensitive and reactionary. Any kind of irritation can be trouble.
  • Check Your Cosmetics. Search a list of pore clogging chemicals via the internet and make sure your make up is okay to use. Also, clean your make up brushes twice a week.
  • Protect ALL Exposed Areas From The Sun. Choose a broad spectrum, oil free, mineral based sunscreen and apply it throughout the day. UV damage is the main cause of premature aging. The cell damage that is caused by UV rays will contribute to adult acne by drying out the skin – which leads to excessive sebum production as your skin tries to compensate for the dryness.
  • Prevention Is The Best Form Of Treatment. When dealing with any skin concern- acne, wrinkles, scars…etc. It takes time, effort and consistency to treat. The best thing you can do is start today with a quality skin care regimen, constant sun protection and a healthy lifestyle. Even if your only 18 and you don’t have a single line on your face- anti aging products have antioxidants that will keep your skin youthful. The payoff will be looking like your 25 when your really 35.. definitely worth it.
